Is India ready for Gay and Lesbian relationships?

India is after all a land that values relationships above a lot of things. And when we say relationships the worlds most talked about and controversial relationship is that between 2 males and 2 females respectively.I mean Gay and Lesbian relationships.

Are we ready yet for this kind of relationship. Where Bollywood films are in a way showcasing gay relationships via films like Kal ho na ho, My brother Nikhil, Dostana it seems that it has reached a point where it could be accepted in the society as just another normal relationship but when it comes to lesbianism movies, society is a bit shy about it.

The last film showcasing lesbianism in Bollywood was girlfriend and after that nobody dared to make film on this society forbidden relationship. It is unnatural for boy to sleep with a boy and a girl to fall in love with a girl and they cannot have kids naturally, hence this kind of relationship is forbidden in the society.

On one hand it is not accepted by the society whereas on the other hand the person getting into such relationship finds compatibility, bonding and love in such relationship. Where we believe that one should live their live according to their will, we object when they enter into such relationships.

Maybe we are too early for such relations but some level of deep thinking has to given to it as it is rising at a high speed and stopping it would be near to impossible. I think they do deserve a space in the society for they are one of us.

Exactly, I agree. They are one of us. They deserve a complete freedom to choose on their partners. If a guy do not feel attracted towards a girl and has to get married to her due to the family pressure, then what is going to be the end product? Mere frustration for both the partners. And normal partner will suffer without any fault of her. I thing people should have complete freedom to make choice when its related to their sexual life.

This is ridiculous and against nature. What will happen to the future of the country if everyone starts involving into gay or lesbian relations? Its aginst our culture. We are proud of our heritage and values and this kind of crap is totally unacceptable in Indian society.

Please don't be extremist. It is obvious that not everyone is going to turn into gay or a lesbian. majority of people will still be normal in choosing their life partners. And there is a positive aspect as well, at least we can have some control on the increasing population as well ;)
